TPV hardness Shore 35A to 50D

TPVs stand for ThermoPlastic Vulcanizates and are the elastomers made by dynamic cross-linking process. As a general combination, they have PP(Polypropylene) Matrix and EPDM (Ethylene propylene diene monomer) Domain. The Matrix gives thermoplasticity and the Domain system takes charge of elasticity. Dynamic cross-linking process supports melting of thermoplastic resin and cross-linking reaction of the Domain (rubber) at the same time in a twin extruder.

TPV Characteristic

Material characteristic
  • Implementing the sensitivity of rubber.
  • Replacing thermosetting products, such as EPDM, CR rubber, and soft PVC.
  • Thanks to low specific gravity, it is possible to lighten product weight.
  • There is no need of additional cross-linking process.
  • The eco-friendly material for recycling makes it easy to simplify processes and reduce costs.
  • Supporting various type of molding such as extrusion molding, injection molding, hollow molding (blow molding), and calendar processing.
Application

Applying to overall parts of automobiles and general industries, and it is generally usable for rubber-replacement products.

  • Automobiles (Hood, Weatherseals, Wires and Cable)
  • Construction/Civil Engineering (Fiber and Electrical, Plumbing)
  • Industrial Materials (Tools, Seals, Hose, Gasket)
  • Electric & Electronic Items (Electronic product parts)
